Leblanc's contrabasses were always made of metal, I believe. I've played
one, and seen others. Leblanc also made sub-contrabasses in E-flat and
B-flat which were also metal - I've seen pictures of both.

I think I have seen a Vito plastic B-flat contrabass listed, though.
Never seen one.
