My Selmer metal is #4786. It has a semi-full Boehm set-up (no low Eb).
No articulated G#. I have a letter from Jermoe Selmer giving me the exact
date--ca 1935. So with the spread in numbers--they stayed with the project
for a while. It is my understanding that the project was dropped because of
the great many metal student clarinets and a fear that the pro line would suffe
r via image. I paid 20$ for mine and would not sell it for 20xs that.
