For what it is worth--I had a set of Leblanc L300s completely repadded and
re-"corked" several years ago with Valentino black pads and cork replacement
material. I played on them for a while--then let one of my graduate students
use the set for a year. I then sold the set (very nice instruments) to another
student of mine. She is still playing and they are still working. The cork
replacement material--self-lubricating gave out on one of the joints. Other
than that it is OK. Any comments?
