Any opinion on the black compund pads? (I forget the name
of the maker, but they're some zoomy space-age compound
that looks like black shiny plastic.) Albert Alphin
put them in my horn, and, as far as I can tell,
they've been incredibly stable. However, my old
clarinet teacher (Jim Russell) seemed to think that
they did not help the sound of the horn.
