I have a copy of that (on LP); I bought it when I was a U of M student
back in 1982-83. Actually, I didn't care for the Etler much, although
Shifrin certainly was and is terrific. I bought the album for the
recording of Donald Sinta playing the Ingolf Dahl concerto for alto
sax and wind ensemble. Sinta is just astounding.
I had the good fortune to be in a band that Sinta directed at U of M,
and I really enjoyed working with him. (Carl St. Clair was also
around at that time, before he went on to bigger and better things.)
