I played in such a group for many years and among our favorites were the
following:

The Mozart (of course)
Gordon Jacob's Trio
Robert Schumann's Trio
Alfred Uhl's Trio (which we recorded and sent a copy to Herr Uhl in Austria...
what a kind man...he immediately wrote back, in the most formal German,
and gave us his own personal insights into his Trio (which is entitled
"Kleines Konzert.")
There is a work by Franz Koringer which is worth looking at.
The Bruch pieces are really nice... one can make up "sets" as well as playing
all eight.

Balance problems aside, it's certainly a fun combination of intruments.
