Andrea, I have both parts you need, the Ravel Pictures and the
American in Paris. I will need your address in order to send them
to you.

The Ravel has a couple of movements for A bass so you will have to
do your famous transposition trick. The American in Paris has
two solos, one completely exposed but not very difficult. The second
involves a high D but it is partially covered by the rest of the
orchestra.

I am not a lover of Gershwin's music but this is a lovely work. The
Pictures has a difficult movement called "Shmuele" whose fundamental
problem lies in the rhythm played by both clarinet and bass clarinet.

Send me your address and I'll get those parts copied for you. The
fee will be some cookies when and if we ever meet. That will be
cookies with nuts, please.
