I recently had the chance to try a Selmer Bass that went down to low
C. I had a very hard time getting the thing to respond. The notes from c1
to b1 (written) hardly played at all, below that and above that the thing
would play but it was rather stuffy. Is it me? Is it the instrument? Is
it broken? Are low C instruments normally like this? Is this something I
will adjust to in time?
I've never played on a low C before and I was using a good reed and
mouthpiece. Help.
