Are you sure that (a) the key clutch over the middle joint is in perfect
adjustment, and (b) the joint shows no sign of wobbling due to worn cork, or
simply because the instrument is old and the socket is not what one would hope
it to be? I've had fingering problems with my ancient Buffet B flat for these
reasons, particularly with the long L.H. little finger keys.
