Gerjan makes an inquiry about conjoining the clarinet group with another
whose interest is far more broad including the opportunity for more
instruments (or I should say, other than clarinet instruments).

I have a problem with that. On the subject of clarinets, my interests are
narrow. I have little interest in about 50% of the material that comes
across even though others may find it quite useful. But it is about the
clarinet and I do read it, just in case.

If a great deal more is going to come in my mailbox, I'll have to yell uncle.
I don't want to get another 50 messages a day that deal with oboes, flutes,
bassoons, etc. In that case I would be involved with a great many messages
that have virtually no interest for me.

In this case, I opt for narowness rather than breadth.
