I'll be subbing with a community orchestra in Southern California
next weekend (I got the job because another esteemed member of this
list turned it down--Hi Jim!) on second clarinet. They're doing,
among other things, the Dvorak 4th Symphony. Since I'll only have
one short pre-concert rehearsal with them (400 miles is a little far
to travel for rehearsals), I bought a CD of the piece and sat down
last night to play my part along with the CD.

It was the wrong symphony! My part was in 4/4 in G major (concert).
The CD was in 3/4 in D minor. Now, I seem to recall that Dvorak's
symphonies have been renumbered. Does anyone know what the number
is of the G major symphony? If so, I would appreciate an e-mailed
answer so that I can buy the correct CD and do some practicing.

Thanks,
Claudia (claudia@-----.com)
