On the subject of clarinet keys, I'd like Clark Fobes to comment on the
following along with anyone else's ideas.

I was told by a repairman that within the past several years some
manufacturers, including Buffet I think, had started using forged keys.
This makes them very strong, which appears a good idea until your repairman
needs to adjust (bend) them to fit someone's hands better.

Are more clarinet keys made by power forging? Are they cheaper to make
because one doesn't have to hand finish with a file? ...

Any comments from repairers about dealing with such keys?
