I've been working on the Max Reger Ab+ sonata for the past few weeks and
have fallen in love with this work. It is quite Brahmsian however there
are some interesting twists and turns. It is a wonderful work with drama
and beautiful singing passages, the only negative I can say about it is
that it ends on a low F which on my Buffet R13 tends to be flat.

My question is why have I not heard it recorded, brought out at recitals
etc., are clarinettists that shortsighted as to not be able to venture
outside Brahms, Saint-Saens and Poulenc?
