In regards to Christopher Zello's comment about new Buffet Eb clarinets I
am not aware that Biffet had gone to a two piece model. I am an authorized
Buffet dealer and I have not seen anu infor mation on this. I am going to
the warehouse in Libertyville soon to purchase new clarinets for my shop
and will inquire.

Regardless of availability, I doubt that any Eb'
clarinets will be offered at a discount. Buffet cannot keep up with demand.

I think a two piece Eb clarinet is not a good idea. In fact one piece A
and Bb clarinets would be a good idea. See clarinets by Luis Rossi. I
doubt that quality of wood is a true reason for this move. Manufactures
manage to find good pieces for bass clarinet joints
