Got some comments from Tim Becker, Coyle Music's crack antique
instrument specialist.

Sounds like an old Conn. Not bad stuff, should be cheap.

German made, OK quality, parts not readily available in the US.

Early 50's, large bore, my favorite model (Jazz horn then - he is a
jazz player)
Apparently it does not easily compared to newer models.... He'd know!
