There may well be differences in marketing of instruments betwwen the UK & US
which affect cases and the like, but when I bought my Buffet A, I bought a
Yamaha double case - it was the roomiest and sturdiest-looking specimen the
dealer had, by a long way. Some multi-instrumentalist actually like the
"compact" plastic (polycarbonate?) cases, as it means they have to haul less
weight to and from vehicles and up and down stairs.
