Selmer "Omega" French made reed--three strengths only 3, 3.5 and 4. The
Selmer company got their start with reeds and mouthpieces. The reeds are
good--consistent but not played by many here. I have only played the
Glotin Chamber reeds--very good cane, consistent and costly. The Vandoren
white and black reeds are for the German and Austrian style mouthpieces.
The white (I believe) has a rounded cut at the bottom of the vamp--the
black master is the straight "French" style cut. I have also used the
Grand Concert reeds of LaVoz in the 4 strength. Thinner blank than you
find in the V12, Glotin, etc. More of a Lurie blank but a different cut
in the vamp. Ron M
