Yes, this is accomplished by fingering (in this case the low "C"),
embouchure, air stream and throat. If want examples go to P. Rehfeldt's
book, New Directions for Clarinet. Under the chapter of multiphonics
you will see examples of different kind of multiphonics. One of the examples
is a piece by Xenakis (sorry for the spelling) which uses different zones
of multiple harmonics. Don't forget to listen to the tape that comes with
the book, it has all the multiphonics recorded on it (including this
example by Xenakis.
