Sounds like a TMJ (temporal-mandibular joint) problem;
sort of bursitis of the jaw. Be careful -- it can become
serious. Short-term, try the usual things: aspirin or
ibuprofen, heat, cold. Long term you might
want to look into Alexander Technique. It's not
a quick or easy fix, but can give you the tools
and perceptual background to make improvements.
