I thought that Oliveri(s) were made in the states, by Michael Oliveri. I
found that they were extremely inconsistent, and if you didn't break them
in very gently they died quite quickly.

Has there been any progress with synthetic reeds? (save those "buzzmaster"
plastic jobs)?
