I am working with some of these Aussie reeds at the moment--too early to
tell. They are from cane harvested from new plantations started in the
late 1980's. The reeds have a Vintage year marked on some boxes. There
are list members in New Zealand and Australia who may be able to give you
some better "first-hand" information. They are available in the USA from
DEG Music Products in Elkhorn, WI.
