Dear Mr. Shilcock,

What happened was she played her clarinet outside of the room and it
was fine. She went into the audition room, noticed a major temperature
difference between the hallway and the room (it was hot in the audition
room). She tried to play in the room, and all she got was a squeak. When
she left the audition room, outside the room she tried to play and she
sounded perfectly fine. She mentioned it to our teacher in her lesson after
the audition, and he told her it was a classic case of reed warping.
Any tips on how to deal with the situation should it happen to me
once I hit the audition circuit?
