Adam -

Try Byron Hoyt in SF - they actually are better to deal with by mail order
than to visit, and have a vast supply of sheet music. Typically, you can
get an order within 2 days.

>2. Who is your favorite repair person?

No question here - Clark Fobes in SF (I don't have his number handy, but he
should be listed under his name in the phone book). He's widely regarded
in the Bay Area as the best repairman. On the opposite side of the
spectrum there's Kurt Heisig in Saratoga - he's a real hack and should be
avoided at all costs. I can give you details and annecdotes at the
get-together. Also note that Clark sells Buffets, and pre-screens them at
the Buffet headquarters in Illinois. For fast local repairs, I'd go to
Dennis Heaney in Mountain View (West Valley Music) - he's quite good. He's
really good for flute and sax repairs, too.

>3. What's the best place for equipment (reeds etc.)

Locally, I go to Dennis Heaney. Also you can try World of Music in SJ (or
maybe it's Cupertino?) In SF, there's Woodwind and Brass Workshop; in
Oakland there's Best Music. There's a lot of stores around, but most are
pretty poor.

See you on the 5th! Note: reservations will probably be under the name
"Buffet" I'll post it to the list.

Regards,
Jordan
