I send this response to Dr. Bogers and to the list only because I've
seen no other response to his question about obtaining Rico reeds in
Belgium.
It will probably be a case of "fools walk in ....." , but anyhow,
in his book called Clarinet Technique, Frederick Thurston wrote:

"The best cane is grown in
France, and reeds manufactured there are usually the finest. Especially
good are those made by Vandoren. If you should happen to be in Paris try
to visit Vandoren's to replenish your stock. The shop is in the rue Lepic,
Paris (Montmartre)."

(I'm not a long-time KLARINET lister, so I just hope I'm not re-opening
a topic that should best be left at rest.)
