Clark has overhauled both my R13 Bb and Yamaha A in the past several years.
Both now have primarily cork pads on the upper joint (all but one) and
skin pads on the lower (one cork and one mystery). However, both
instruments have a black pad on the G#/D# key. Is this a Valentino pad and
if so, I wonder what caused him to change his mind? They're all still
sealing well, however, so who knows what the problem might be.

Last note: some of the new top of the line instruments have resonators on
the pads as do saxes. Any opinions on retro-fitting with those?
