So far so good with Valentino--the pads are all black--not that that should
make a change--but I believe they are the latest construction. In the past
I have heard of folks who had some trouble with the pad separating from the
back. These have been in place several years now--I let some of my students
borrow this set of Leblancs so they get a lot of use and under varying con-
ditions. I have noticed that the material used for the joint cork--also black
and supple--seems to be self lubricating so no "grease". More later.
