I went to the Orford summer masterclass last summer, and it was an
wonderful experience. There were nine of us in the clarinet class,
participating in an intense week with James Campbell. I highly recommend
it to everyone. Last year, there were two Americans, one girl from
England, one Canadian who now lives in Germany, and a few Canadians from
all over the country. We all learned a great deal from Mr. Campbell and from
each other.

Another good Canadian summer workshop is Domaine Forget. This summer,
Robert Spring, Robert Riseling, Michael Webster, and Marie Picard will be
teaching the clarinet there from June 19 to July 3.
