Rudy Wiedoft was THE MAN. He probably did more to get the saxophone boom
rolling than any other individual. I'm not aware of any current source
for his recordings and if any one else is *please* let me know about it.
The same goes for his sheet music publications.

The most substantial Wiedoft revival/homage effort that I know is the
work of Leo van Oostrom, but I've only heard his CD. I doubt that anyone
who has listened to it would be inclined to dismiss the C-melody as in
any way inferior to the "normal" saxes. I remember reading an interview
with him where he said that everything fell into place for him when he
found an original 1920's C-melody mouthpiece.
