For C tenor fans--or the so-called C melody saxophone--there is a recording
of the Hindemith Alto Horn (Sax) Sonata available with the saxophone part
being played on the C instrument. It sure sounds "right" and so much of it
lays in a better register. I'll go upstairs to our listening center today
and get the album title and number.
Anyone on the list going to a summer workshop? I am trying to find one that
does not discriminate for age--I am past 30. Orford Arts Centre in Quebec
has two clarinet-chamber music sessions one with James Campbell (IU) and one wi
th Andre Moisan Universite du Quebec a Montreal in July and August.
