I would like to recommend a video tape which we use here at UK--I have a
member of our voice faculty present this at least once each semester to
my studio class- The tape is entitled THE SINGER'S BREATH and is available
from Pst....Inc., Post Office Box 800208, Dallas, Texas 75380. They have
a toll free number for catlogs etc. (I am not setting out to advertise for
them on the list--but the materials are superb--in my opinion). Toll free
800-284-7043. Another useful bit they publish is by Robert Caldwell--
entitled THE PERFORMER PREPARES. It really has some good information in
it. The breathing tape--should really debunk and demystify much of
of what many us have thought--it did for me and I thought I had a pretty
good handle on this.
