They placement (higher or lower) on the upper joint of the speaker key
is of great importance along with the bore characteristics. I recall reading
quite a bit about that and will send the reference along when I find it.
It would appear my messages are now going to the list--however, everything
I send out is also coming back to me as new mail. This may get more complicate
d that finding a great reed.

Just a note--Barry Tuckwell is here on campus. He has a recital this even-
ing. I hope to get to some of his presentations. Maybe he can offer some
suggestions--well I don't think I'll ask him.
