I own several--one very fine Eb soprano--was my son's first clarinet--took
it away from him as he had a habit of playing it--well woulnding on it--
early on weekend mornings when he was four years old. If you want to get
an idea of sound from an Albert system--why don't you listen to any of the
clarinet solos as recorded by Jimmy Dorsey and his band? He certainly made
a sound and got around. One of my teachers (Jack Brymer) began lessons on the
Albert system and continued for many years as a young man on this system.
I am not sure about "sounding" like a Boehm--not trying to be a nerd or
start an argument--but I really think a clrinet sounds like a clarinet-
sure the German System (an ally of the Albert) sounds like a German

system--many Austrian and German orchestras demand the instrument--but you
know if you listen to recordings of Leopold Wlach--on old Cochtans--and then
listen to Karl Leister on Wurlitzer's--there is a big difference--but it is
the concept of the player--Leister sure sounds good--but I really think he
would sound good on a Boehm.

Hopes this helps--
