(1) How does the concept of "loudness vibrato" on the clarinet relate to the
general perception that a clarinet gets flatter the harder you blow, unless you
make appropriate embouchure adjustments?
(2) The type of slowish vibrato used by Goossens et al. on the oboe seems very
likely to be produced by oscillation of the diaphragm, or, at least, SOMETHINg
way down there. I have never heard anything quite like this used on the
clarinet, but I suspect I would hate it if I did.
