I had an old LeBlanc clarinet which had the serial numbers stamped
on the barrel and both body pieces. Unfortunately it had lost it's bell
before I bought it, and it had been replaced by a plastic bell ( Shock
Horror) It was my first ever clarinet, and I bought it about fourth hand
from an ad in the paper. It only cost me about stlg100, and I bought it to
do my exams on at school. I've sold it now, and I don't know how old
it actually was. It wasn't a very good one, probably near the bottom
of the range, but it did have it's very own barrel and body pieces!!
