I'll try to scare up some useful refs. What I've got most clearly in mind
are a number of presentations at musical acoustics conferences (where one
might almost suspect that the real purpose of the presentation was to
demonstrate a snazzy measuring device).

In the meantime you might want to read the chapter on vibrato in just
about any book on "How to Play the Oboe" that you can find. It should
also be pretty easy to find an oboist who uses diaphragm vibrato and ask
him or her to demonstrate it. I remember being asked to stick my hand
into the jiggling belly of an oboe teacher and told to "do it just like
this".
