Welcome--you mentioned a "clear" mouthpiece?? If it is a crystal mouthpiece
it could be quite a good one--if it is infact a plastic one--they were made
for some years--it could easily be replaced with a good rubber one. The
Selmer Signet--as far as I know-never was supplied with a clear plastic
mouthpiece. Hopes that helps. Good luck in your future study.
