This excerpt is taken from Harry R Gee's _Clarinet Solos de Concours, 1897-1980_
Harry Gee was a Saxophone/Clarinet instructor at Indiana State University (I'm
not sure of his first year, but he retired in 1990, I believe.)

The important collections of study material by C. Rose are
available in the following editions:

_16 Phrasing Studies_, Leblanc (ed. from 32 Etudes by D.
Bonade).

_20 grandes etudes_ (from works of Rode), Billaudot, Fischer,
International (ed. S. Drucker).

_26 Studies_ from works of Mazas and Dreutzer), Leduc (ed.
by P. Lefebvre), Billaudot (revised by F. Blachet, ed. by
J. Lancelot).

_32 Etudes_ (From F. W. Ferling, Opus 31), Fischer, Leduc
(ed. by P. Lefebvre), Billaudot (ed. by F. Blachet),
International (ed. S. Drucker).

_40 Etudes_ (from works of Dancla, Fiorillo, Gavinies,
Kreutzer, Mazas, Ries, and Schubert), 2 Vols., Fischer,
International (ed. Drucker), Billaudot (ed. Lancelot).

An interesting tid-bit that I found in this book, Rose was the first to teach
artistic phrasing. Before Rose's time, the clarinet was principally a
military bands. Thank Goodness for Cyrille Rose!!
