Well, rather than a book specifically for clarinetists, I'd like to
recommend Erich Leinsdorf's _The_Composer's_Advocate:_A_Radical_Orthodoxy_
for_Musicians_. I think every musician should read this, whether or not
s/he agrees with everything he says (which I mostly do). How many people
out there who have read the score to Beethoven's Ninth realize that almost
nobody plays the ending right?
