The BRYMER book may also be out of print--would be a pity. It is one of
the best English if not the best I have ever read. The series that his
book is part of contains many other fine vols--SAXOPHONE is about to come
out Paul Harvey Prof of clarinet at Kneller Hall and leader of the
London Sax Quart is doing it.

I was a student of Brymer while he was researching and writing the clarinet
book--he really did his homework well. How could a man who was solo clarinet
of the London Symphony--a busy with a few students--as well as a great deal of
commercial work--find time to write a book of that quality? Makes one really
wonder about the use of time and energy. Ron Monsen
