Claudia, I am pleased to meet you. Your teacher, Mark Brandenberg, and
I have been friends for years and, as I sit here, I am awaiting his
arrival at my house for a death chess match. We have had 4 of 6
games (US Chess Federation Rated) and this afternoon is game 5.

He has spoken to me very highly of your playing and I am sorry I was
not there Saturday night. I could say that I was there in drag, but
such was not the case. I was playing the ballet in San Jose doing
9 performances of Giselle so they got a sub for me at the pops concert.
I do not know who played in my place but, unlike most pops concerts,
it was not a double. Just B-flat clarinet.

I hope to meet you at another concert. WE have one this Friday/Saturday
(Russian show and I only play 3 numbers), and lots of other things
following that including Mahler 5 in early April.

If I kill Mark this afternoon, you will have to get a new teacher.
