Andrea,
The same composer who wrote "La Fiesta Mexicana," Owen Reed, wrote another
piece that actually does have a CONTRA solo! A recording engineer who I am
working with played bass in high school and contra in college (Michigan
State I believe). He told me about the piece, but I can't remember the title.
He said the contra solo starts a "fight scene"--hmmm.......... Have fun!
