I've been following the discussion on the effects of humidity on clarinets
with interest. It is very timely, because I have just had a negative
experience caused by lack of humidity.

I live in a fairly humid climate, so generally my reeds are consistent.
But the other day I did a solo recording in a very dry hall, and my sound
suffered because my reeds didn't like this absence of humidity.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to improve a reed in dry
weather, especially when the reed is accustomed to a certain level of
humidity?
