I have not had any problems with my clarinet so far this winter.
It is VERY DRY in Ithaca during the winter. Last year all of my rings
(except the bell) fell off. Even on the same day!!! I took all
of the pieces parts to Mr. Schmidt and he showed me a neat
way to fix it using telephone book paper. I have not had any problems since.
I do keep sponges in my case for moisture and I keep all of my reeds in a
VAndored reed box. I put all of the reeds (in the cases) inside a
rubbermaid container with a reed humidifier that Mr. Minelli passed
out one day in rep.

On another subject.. I am giving an elective receital in April.
Here are all of the pieces: (In no particular order)

Brahms Sonata Op. 120 No. 2
Lutoslawski Dance Preludes
Schubert Ave Maria
Krenek Monologue for Solo Clarinet
Rochberg Trio (horn and piano) 1st mvt, and maybe the 2nd mvt.

That's the list
What do y'all think???
Anne
