Hello,

I have been a listlurker for some time, and I've enjoyed learning a lot from
the discussion of the various topics recently (barrel lengths, plastic vs.
wood, etc.). I am looking forward to the conversations about performance
practices too.

I'm an amateur with a demanding full-time professional career, but I still
find time to play my clarinet in both classical and jazz idioms.

A friend of mine and I have begun to play the Sonata for Clarinet and Piano
by Alec Wilder. My copy cites 1968 as the composition date with no opus
number. When we first started reading through it, we both said, "Man, this
is nowhere," but it grew on us, and we have come to like its interplay
between classical and swing styles very much. Does anyone know of a
recording of this piece?

Thanks.
