I'm about to perform a wonderful piece by Shulamit Ran (Isreali composer,
now living in Chicago and far as I know). It's called "For An Actor:
Monologue for Clarinet (in A)." It's unaccompanied, and uses some extended
techniques (ex. multiphonics, flutter tongue). It's a very dramatic,
expressive piece that's fun to play. The clarinetist functions as an actor
doing a monologue (hence the name) on stage. I highly reccomend it.

Karen.
