I am in agreement that aesthetics play a role in the way we play. And
I play better on a thing of beauty because I think I play better on a thing
of beauty!! ^^^^^

One of my several B-flat clarinets has chrome plated keys and it always
looks gorgeous. I would like to have them gold plated and maybe some day
I'll do that.

And that, in a nutshell, is probably the reason why I don't play as well on
a Vito clarinet than on my Buffets; i.e., because I don't think I do.

In the final analysis, its like sex: all in the mind.
