Dan Leeson writes in reply to Kristan Tetans:

>Bill Stubbins was a long-time clarinet teacher at one of the major
>American midewest universities such as Michigan or Ohio or something
>of that prestigious nature. I never met Bill but I heard many
>things about him almost all uniformly positive.

The name Stubbins rang a bell deep in my subconcious, and Dan brought it to
the surface. I'm almost positive that Stubbins was a clarinet prof at
Michigan (you might not want to show your clarinet around East Lansing,
Kristan!) up until the mid-70s. I'm sure that some other Michigan grads can
confirm/correct this. Unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of studying
with him or the other prof, John Moeller - what a faculty! Then add Larry
Teal and Donald Sinta on sax. Why, oh why did I study engineering??? :-(
