Cary's comments and mine are in complete harmony and in no way
contradictory. Pound for pound, Buffet does turn out a better
clarinet more consistently than Vito and, therefore, a Buffet
is more likely to be in tune, better manufactured, etc. But that
does not mean that a Vito, in and of itself, is automatically a
turkey, which is what Andrea asserted.
I was not praising Vito, criticizing Buffet, or doing anything except
argue against an elistist mentality based on other than objective factors.
