YAY!!! I got another gig with the St. Olaf Orchestra, this time
playing bass and 3rd clarinet in the revised version of Stravinsky's
"Petrouchka". I've got my trusty bass, Schizo, at my side, but alas
had to check out a Bb clarinet for this job. Unfortunately, there
were no wood clarinets to check out, so I had to settle for *shudder*
a Vito X-P I looked at the part more closely, and decided that nasty
lick in concert A in the 4th movement would be much nicer to play on
an A clarinet. Checked out a Buffet A clarinet. The whole soprano
clarinet playing concept is relatively foreign to me, since other than
in my woodwind methods class last year, the last time I played sop.
clarinet was back in 6th grade (I'm a college junior now)!

Oh, did any of y'all catch "Christmas at St. Olaf" on TV? If you did,
let me know what you thought of it.

--Andrea, Bb bass clarinetist extraordinaire!!!
