Klarinet Archive - Posting 000263.txt from 1993/12

I have been rebuked (and rightly so) by Cary for making light
of the use of the D-clarinet. He correctly points out that
on one hand, I bang away at the use of the composer specified
clarinet for certain works, while here gave the impression that
the same set of circumstances involving the D-clarinet were
not relevant or important.
He is correct to rebuke me. I should not have been so flip.
I know the Molter concerti and made my facetious comment based
on the fact that I don't care for them. I should not have done
so and I apologize.
It may be masochistic of me, but I enjoy rebukes. It forces me
back into a logical position instead of an emotional one. I thank
you Cary and will try not to be so inconsistent and obdurate in
the future.
